Here is a link to a seven-minute video of a young mother who says she knows she did the right thing by not choosing to abort her handicapped son. The video has gone viral, spreading a powerful pro-life message across the internet. Lacey writes on her blog that she has been completely taken aback by the attention her video has received. “I’m absolutely blown away by the response that the video has had. I never imagined it would be this big,” she writes, “but I have definitely learned a lesson in not underestimating God’s ability to use people.” “I’m humbled and awestruck with the fact that God is using my son to fulfill His purpose! I just can’t wait to see how He uses Christian in the future.” (http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/i-did-the-right-thing-by-not-aborting-video-of-young-mom-with-disabled-baby)

An article by Pamela Muller Swartzberg reminds us that“Pro-life” encompasses all life. The fact became clear to Pam as she walked with her father in the culmination of his life’s journey–walked with him through the years of Alzheimer’s disease.

Often, when we hear about Alzheimer’s disease, we hear of “the loss of dignity” or that our loved one “isn’t really there anymore.” Pam rejects that characterization. No disease can take away a person’s humanity. “Ask anyone who has encountered my mom and dad during his illness; to a person they will attest to the dignity and beauty exhibited by the obvious and total self-giving love between my parents.”

Maria Cahill, the winner of the Miss Delaware 2011 contest is using her new-found fame to promote the pro-life message. She participated in the March for Life as Miss Delaware despite opposition. In an April 2011 video just prior to her winning the Miss Delaware title, Cahill indicated she would be using her fame to save lives. She said that “If it takes a crown on my head and wearing a sash to talk to young people” about abortion, “so be it, everything happens for a reason.” She added, “If it takes a crown to save one baby’s life, then I’ve done my job.”

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. It certainly is when telling the story of an unborn baby’s development. So what happens when you combine the visual with words of the mighty pen? Hopefully both mediums can be doubly powerful in changing hearts and minds about abortion.

A fellow pro-lifer sent me this video called Interview with an Unborn Child. The film contains breathtaking images of the unborn child inside the womb and is combined with a voice over of a compelling poem authored by Dr. Mojdeh Shirvanian. The poem is a result of beautiful images while demonstrating how an unborn child would respond to facing an abortion. We get to hear the baby’s firsthand response with his “voice” in the clip.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear these words within the context of the deaths of 1.2 million babies every year. You’ll have to watch the video in its entirety to see what comes next. Click here.

The perspective portrayed in the video isn’t one you’ll hear from Planned Parenthood or the rest of the abortion industry, especially while they’re occupied with cashing in on a violent and deadly business. Yet, it’s the child’s voice—his perspective—that’s a necessary part of the conversation on abortion.

Facts are a stubborn thing—over 3,200 babies killed every day. Every 21-seconds another heart is stilled by abortion. The abortion industry prefers to hide this grim reality brought about by their greed for blood money, but Dr. Shirvanian hits it spot-on in a way that’s thoughtful and engaging. In fact, her video is part of a campaign to educate women—particularly in Iran— about abortion’s horrifying reality. Her message, however, is one that knows no borders.

Please watch this brief film and then share it with your family and friends through email, Facebook, and Twitter. When it comes to the battle of protecting the babies and their mothers, it’s tools like this that can melt the hearts of even the most dedicated pro-abortion person. May the pain in our hearts caused by abortion be one of the motivations for making this film go viral.

For Mothers and their Babies,

“My friend … gave me an e-mail one day about her friend, Allison Neumueller [from Houston, Texas], who was on bed rest because her baby was in trouble … she asked if I could ask for prayers … and to share her friend’s story to as many people as possible, so the power of prayer could be used. God is SO GOOD!”

“Your righteousness reaches to the skies, O God, you who have done great things, who, O God is like you? Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again” (Psalm 71:19-21).

What is 40 Days for Life? The first 40 Days for Life campaign was conducted in Bryan/College Station, Texas in the fall of 2004. A local pro-life group prayed for an answer about how to reduce abortion in their area, and the answer God gave them was 40 Days for Life. The campaign was put together in a matter of weeks, yet it activated 1,000 people and led directly to a 28 percent decline in abortions in that community. News of the victory that God led in Texas spread to other communities, and in 2005 and 2006 a half dozen other cities conducted their own 40 Days for Life campaigns. Each program was geared to the specific region, but each reported positive results. For some, it was learning that clinics closed altogether or cut their operating hours. Other cities found an outpouring of women seeking post-abortion healing.

The first national 40 Days for Life campaign was conducted in the fall of 2007, with more than 80 cities in more than 30 states participating in a simultaneous outreach. People who had never been involved in pro-life activities came forward to answer the call. Lives were saved, hearts were changed and people are seeing that prayer indeed can make a difference in the quest to end abortion.

Psalm 126 says that “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” We can praise God that, because of the 40 Days for Life campaign, at least 352 babies have been saved from abortion…so far!
