Presidents Corner

Our country has changed and the next four to eight years will be challenging years for all of us. Please look back and ask how did we get to this place—did we equip and educate enough. Please pray for one another especially as we go out to speak, display, etc. Please continue to build each other up as sometimes this works becomes difficult ---God will lead us all thru. “Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lost heart.” Hebrews 12:3

On Saturday, April 25th the Board of Directors held a meeting and one of the biggest discussion items was how to provide more ways to equip and educate. Brian Witt is our webmaster he has helped us all to understand Facebook and Twitter (13 slide presentation on how it works). Lutherans For Life of Wisconsin has our own website --Facebook and Twitter are part of LFL of Wisconsin.

According to our by-laws we need to hold an annual meeting each year for the election of officers and updates to all chapters and attendees. Mark you calendars for Saturday, October 24th, at 11:00 a.m. for the annual meeting at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Portage. This meeting should be no longer that an hour. Please prayfully consider serving on the board.

I will be presenting at Circuit 22 on May 12th Renewal For Life to Pastors. This is the direction that Lutherans For Life will be equipping and educating our churches. Grassroots people are still very much needed to assist the Pastor’s in their individual churches. Please help to promote Renewal for Life to your Pastor and have your Pastor contact the state or national LFL office for a presentation.

This year the National Conference (30th Anniversary) will be held in St. Louis on July 24-25 at the Doubletree Westport. Please prayfully consider attending this conference. Wisconsin will be hosting the 2010 National Conference for Lutherans For Life July 23 and 24, 2010 at Concordia University (on the shore of Lake Michigan) in Mequon. More details to follow. Please give me a call to part of the team for this conference.
